Bryce Harper didn’t have a good say Sunday but that doesn’t really matter.

The batting helmet and cap used by the 18-year-old Washington Nationals outfield prospect during his 0-for-4 day at the Futures Game as part of the MLB All-Star Game festivities have hit the auction block and they’re in demand.

How much interest is there?

He’s the most-expensive player among the items up for grabs so far in the entire selection of MLB Auctions items for the All-Star Game.

His Nationals cap has attracted the most attention money-wise with bidding sitting at $910 after just seven bids.

The batting helmet? Eleven bids totaling $756 with more than six days remaining in the auctions.

Both items have been authenticated by MLB and have a hologram with its documentation entered into the MLB Authentication database.

You weren’t kidding, he looked BAD in the game. He was baffled by the curve ball and couldn’t touch the breaking stuff.

WE HAVE ALL JUMPED ON THE HARPER HYPE BUS. SIMMILAR TO STRASBURG, IF EITHER OF THESE KIDS TURN OUT TO BE A BUST, WE AS COLLECTORS NEED TO LEARN A LESSON AND SHOULD WAIT TILL “SUPER-PROSPECTS” HAVE 1 GOOD SEASON IN THE MAJORS. I HAVE A LOT INVESTED IN BOTH SO I WISH THEM THE BEST OF LUCK.

No denying he has above average skills. But he sorely lacks maturity. When his hubris is replaced with respect for the game, he will be ready for the majors.
