Join Beckett Baseball‘s Chris Olds and Justin Grunert as they rip into boxes of 2014 Topps Gypsy Queen in this latest edition of Box Busters.
What will they find inside? Watch and find out …
Those boxes (not counting box topper) are EXACTLY what came out of all the boxes I sold in my store.
I’m utterly shocked you didn’t get two Matt magill autos, they seemingly were in all the boxes I sold.
Another terrible product by topps at the original srp considering the “low quality” of the cards and autos/ game used.
This product has $69 price tag written all over it.
I don’t expect this to be over flowing with griffey and aaron autos. I also don’t expect it to be drowning in$3 jersey and $5 auto cards either. Not at the $120 price point! Especially using regular paper stock.
The solution if they MUST MUST make this product is get rid of the crazy expensive autos, get rid of the pricey jumbo relics which cost $$$$ to acquire, and put QUALITY (not mega stars) autos instead.
Think of this, topps chrome has a $72 Srp and will use the same type of players as this product (non stars, mostly rookies) while having an awesome paper chrome like stock. All that’s missing are the couple of crummy jersey cards and yet that blows up the boxes by $50?
I like Gypsy Queen every year. I think it is a little overpriced (I would be all over it at 80, and would likely still be interested at 100), but patient collectors will be able to find boxes for a better price in 4-6 weeks.
I’m a little curious about what was edited out… Is there a way of getting the outtakes? lol
Lastly, Chris won the mini pack (but not by much). Justin’s pack was pitcher heavy, whereas Chris’ pack had more sluggers (and everybody knows sluggers win in pack wars).
not feeling it this year. may buy a couple packs but thats it
