The Sunday slate of NFL games has come and gone and there were many great performances to key in on. From upset victories to squash matches the NFL never seems to disappoint. With that in mind, here are our picks for the top performers coming out of the weekend in the week three edition of the BGS Sunday Standouts.

#3 – Matt Stafford

There wasn’t a more anticipated game heading into the weekend than Bucs/Rams. With both of the offenses running on cruise control, something had to give. What played out was a 34 to 24 victory for the Rams in a game that really wasn’t even that close. Stafford and the Rams took a 14 to 7 lead in the second quarter and the vaunted Rams defense took care of the rest. At the end of the day, Matt Stafford threw for 343 yards and four touchdowns as Los Angeles established their dominance in the NFC.

# 2 – Josh Allen

If you started Josh Allen in your fantasy leagues yesterday you probably did pretty. Allen led the Bills to an easy 43 to 21 win over the Washington Football Team racking up 358 yards passing and five total touchdowns along the way. Likewise, the Bills defense stood tall against a Washington team that is still trying to find their way this season.

#1 – Justin Tucker

The number one spot on our BGS Sunday Standouts, week three edition, belongs to Justin Tucker. Sure, he’s a kicker, but a damn good one. Justin was 4 for 5 kicking yesterday but saved the best for last. With time expiring, Tucker made history with the longest field goal ever in the NFL. Detroit fans will argue that it never should have happened. In fact, that argument is pretty valid. Still, a missed call by refs led to history being made as the Ravens won 19 to 17.
