Hex Magic – Magic: The Gathering

Our biggest mover barely looks the part. It is a two and a red Arcane sorcery from Marvel Super Heroes – the kind of Uncommon most of us tossed straight into the bulk box on release day.

It exiles your entire hand, draws that many fresh cards, and lets you replay the exiled ones through your next turn. A full hand refill, flavored as a flick of the Scarlet Witch’s wrist.

That is exactly what a Storm deck wants, and Modern’s Ruby Storm players figured it out fast, slotting it in as a four of.

Near Mint copies opened prerelease weekend around $0.33 and sat near $0.50 after launch. In recent sales they have climbed past $2, with foils near $8.

Thunder King Rai-Oh – Yu-Gi-Oh!

Yu-Gi-Oh! has its own throwback catching a second wind. Thunder King Rai-Oh has been a beloved floodgate for years.

It’s a LIGHT Thunder monster that keeps both players from searching their decks and can tag itself away to negate a lone Special Summon.

What is new is Chaos Origins, which brings the Blitzclique archetype to the West and can drop Rai-Oh straight onto the board. That has the old floodgate seeing play again, and the demand is landing on the set’s new alternate art printing.

The everyday reprints still sit under a dollar for players who just need a copy, so if you are chasing this one, it is the new Chaos Origins art that carries the premium.

The Glass Slipper – Enchanted – Disney Lorcana

Now to the game having the loudest month in the hobby.

Disney Lorcana’s secondary market has been on a tear, and the latest surprise is The Glass Slipper in its Enchanted treatment from Archazia’s Island.

On paper this was a hard sell, an Amber item with a narrow tutor effect and no marquee character, the kind of Enchanted that sat unloved in binders for a year.

Then the Disneyana crowd arrived. Collectors who care more about the animated classics than tournament tables have been pouring in, and a lone Cinderella slipper is right in their wheelhouse.

The card has roughly doubled in value in recent weeks, turning into a $100 plus collectible – and we are unlikely to see another Glass Slipper card for a long time.

Winnie the Pooh – Hunny Wizard – Enchanted – Disney Lorcana

Lorcana earns a second spot on the list, because this one refuses to cool off. The character debuted as a humble low rarity card in Rise of the Floodborn but its Enchanted printing from Fabled has become one of the priciest and most sought after Enchanteds in the set.

It’s remarkable for a vanilla character with no ability text at all. The engine here is pure demand because a full Hunny theme arrived in Attack of the Vine, and a dedicated product, Illumineer’s Quest: The Great Hunny Rescue, is due in October.

It has climbed steadily since Fabled launched last year and now commands several hundred dollars and up, sitting near the top of the set’s chase list.

Mega Floette ex – Special Illustration Rare – Pokémon

Mega Floette ex, the Special Illustration Rare from Chaos Rising illustrated by Teeziro, is the villain at the center of the set’s story. This Pokémon brings havoc to Lumiose City as night falls and is now one of the set’s most chased pulls.

It was priced at around $90 not long after launch. Two months on, it has drifted toward the mid-$40s in recent sales, and it is not alone.

The whole Chaos Rising SIR tier has softened, with even the marquee Mega Greninja SIR getting lower over the past month.

Pitch Black lands July 17 with Mega Darkrai ex on the marquee. Collectors are pulling capital out of last set’s chases to fund the next wave. It is a cool down, not a collapse. If you have been waiting on a better financial entry point for Mega Floette ex, the next couple of weeks favor the buyer.
