Elly De La Cruz
De La Cruz and the Reds have stormed into the Wild Card chase as the season winds down. The third-year star recently stole his 35th base of the season, becoming only the fourth player since 1900 to reach that mark in each of his first three major-league seasons.

Puka Nacua
Nacua is a leading receiving target for Matthew Stafford and the Rams, but he also made a difference on the ground on Sunday. Nacua rushed for a 45-year touchdown on his way to 136 yards from scrimmage in a 33-19 win over the Titans.

Jared Goff
Goff has picked up right where he left off last season. In a 52-21 rout of the Chicago Bears on Sunday, Goff was electrifying, completing 23 of 28 passes for 334 yards and five touchdowns, which matched a career high.

A’ja Wilson
Consecutive Weeks on Hot List: 🔥🔥
As the leader of the Las Vegas Aces, who reeled off 16 wins to close out the season and make the playoffs, Wilson earned both the Associated Press Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year awards after a superb campaign. She averaged a double-double with 23.4 points and 10.2 rebounds per game and hopes to be a big factor in the postseason.

Frank Nazar
The Chicago Blackhawks are building a young core, and Nazar is right in the middle of the movement. An incredible passer, superb skater, and sharp shooter, Nazar knows how to get it done on the ice. After scoring 26 points in 53 games as a rookie, he’ll look to take a step forward as a sophomore in the upcoming season.

Matvei Michkov
Though only 20 years old, Michkov is making waves in Philadelphia, a city that hopes to embrace him as its next hockey star. “It’s that Michkov’s play-making ability, his shot, his melding of grace and strength on the ice are obvious even to a hockey lay person,” wrote a Philadelphia Inquirer columnist, explaining the excitement surrounding the Flyers’ rising star.

Dillon Dingler
Dingler has hits in 12 of his last 14 starts for the Detroit Tigers, and the young catcher has played a big part in Detroit’s climb to the top of the American League Central Division. In 116 games, Dingler has hit .282 with 13 home runs and 56 RBI – very respectable numbers for a catcher, especially one who can throw out runners at a high clip and has only made five errors all season.

Napheesa Collier
Though A’ja Wilson has stolen a lot of the headlines lately, Collier has a legitimate shot at earning her first MVP award after leading the Minnesota Lynx to the WNBA’s best record. With 22.9 points per game, Collier knows how to score, and she will look to carry the Lynx through the postseason – and perhaps to their first title since 2017.

Malik Nabers
Nabers has been busy in the early-going with the New York Giants. After two weeks, he leads the NFL with 238 receiving yards. He’s already been targeted 25 times, and with his big-play ability, Nabers could be in for a special season one year after snaring over 1,200 yards as a rookie.
