The Hot List
Jalen Brunson
Consecutive Weeks on Hot List: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Brunson hit a decisive free throw with 9 seconds to play in Game 2 of the NBA Finals, a 105-104 win that gave the New York Knicks a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series. Brunson and the Knicks are returning home to Madison Square Garden for Games 3 and 4, hoping to put the Spurs further onto the ropes.

Karl-Anthony Towns
Towns doesn’t generate as many headlines as Brunson, but his presence is just as important to the Knicks. Towns has averaged a double-double throughout the postseason (17.3 points and 10.8 rebounds per game), and he’s double-doubled in both games of the NBA Finals, despite going against Defensive Player of the Year Victor Wembanyama.

Mitch Marner
Marner has gotten progressively better in each of the first three games of the NHL Finals. In Game 1, he secured an assist. In Game 2, he had two assists. In Game 3, he turned things up with three goals and an assist all in the first period of a 5-4 double-overtime victory that gave the Vegas Golden Knights a 2-1 series advantage. Fans and collectors can only ask themselves: What’s next?

Josh Allen
After a gut-wrenching exit from the playoffs in overtime last season, Allen and the Bills are as motivated as ever going into a new year. Entering his age 30 season, Allen has four straight top five MVP finishes (including a win in 2024), and the dual-threat QB shows no signs of slowing down.

Munetaka Murakami
The Chicago White Sox were not expected to contend for the postseason in 2026, but with performances from players like Murakami, they’ve been one of baseball’s most surprising teams. Murakami has 20 home runs on the young season, and that has helped Chicago unexpectedly climb to second place in the American League Central Division.

Olivia Miles
Miles has proven she belongs with the WNBA’s best after sinking a single-game record eight 3-pointers in a recent win over the Golden State Valkryies, breaking a mark Caitlin Clark had set twice. Minnesota’s first-round draft pick has been impressive through 11 games this season with 17.2 points, 6.3 assists, and 5.0 rebounds per night.

Ja’Marr Chase
Even though quarterback Joe Burrow missed most of last season with injury, Chase still hauled in plenty of receptions. With Burrow expected back for a full season and an improved defense, Chase now feels a duty to do his part in helping the Bengals back to the postseason for the first time since the 2022 season. With five straight 1,000-yard season and back-to-back years with the NFL lead in targets, there’s little reason to believe he won’t be in on plenty of action.

Cam Schlittler
Schlittler has been a workhorse for the Yankees all season, racking up a league-leading 82 innings in 14 starts, as of June 8. His 1.87 ERA also leads baseball, and he’s striking out over a batter an inning (89), while limiting hits allowed (57) and walks (14) for a miniscule 0.866 WHIP, which also paces the league. The Yankees hold the lead in the AL East Division, and they have no choice but to thank Schlittler for some of their success.

Shea Theodore
Theodore is another standout as the Golden Knights have jumped out to a 2-1 NHL Finals advantage. He’s scored twice and assisted on three other goals in the first three games, but none were bigger than the game-winning goal in double-overtime to seal Game 3, a 5-4 victory.
