Beckett Sports Cards Hot/Cold List for the Week of July 13, 2026
Welcome to the weekly Beckett Sports Card Hot/Cold list, where we take a quick and fun look at what’s hot and what’s not in the worlds of sports and sports cards over the last week.

The Hot List
Bobby Witt Jr.
Consecutive Weeks on Hot List: 🔥🔥
Even though the Royals are not among baseball’s best teams, Witt has done his part all season long. He continues to lead the American League with a Baseball-Reference Wins Above Replacement value of 4.8 and in stolen bases (30) at the All-Star break. The three-time All-Star went into the break with hits in seven of his last eight games, and he hopes to keep the bat on the ball on the other side of the mid-summer layoff.

Jacob Misiorowski
Misiorowski closed the first half of the season with astounding numbers. Across 18 starts, “The Miz” posted a 10-4 record with a 1.62 ERA and 167 strikeouts in 111 innings pitched. That equates to 13.5 strikeouts per nine innings, which is a rare mark for a starting pitcher. With the Brewers looking like solid playoff contenders, Misiorowski could get even more attention in the fall.

James Wood
Wood has improved his plate discipline in his second full major-league season, and it shows. The 23-year-old leads the league in on-base percentage (.410), walks (79), and runs (89) one year after striking out 221 times. He’s also on a tear going into his second All-Star Game appearance. Wood homered in the last three games before the All-Star break, leaving him just three shy of his career-high (31) from last year.

Olivia Miles
Consecutive Weeks on Hot List: 🔥🔥
Miles continues to carry the load for the Minnesota Lynx. The rookie scored 23 points and made four 3-pointers in a win over the New York Liberty in a battle of likely playoff teams. Soon, she’ll become the only first-year player to start in this year’s WNBA All-Star Game, a testament to her season averages of 18.7 points, 5.6 assists, and 4.8 rebounds per game.

Beckett Sennecke
Sennecke was among the biggest rookie contributors throughout the NHL season, helping the Ducks end a playoff drought that dated to 2018. The first-team All-Rookie finished third in Calder Cup voting as the league’s Rookie of the Year. Only 20 years old, Sennecke has a bright future ahead, and collectors are getting on board — even during the offseason.

Caleb Wilson
Wilson did not play competitive basketball since a broken wrist ended his freshman year at North Carolina on February 10, but if his first game back is any indication, the Bulls made a good decision selecting him near the top of the 2026 NBA Draft. In Wilson’s Summer League debut, he scored 35 points (including 7 3-pointers), grabbed 6 rebounds, and recorded 3 blocks, though Chicago lost to Memphis. If it’s a sign of things to come, the Bulls might have found their next superstar.

AJ Dybantsa
If Dybantsa only plays in two Summer League games like many high draft picks often do, he’s shown he has NBA-level talent. The No. 1 pick in the draft averaged 25.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game for the Wizards, and collectors can’t wait to see what he can do once official games tip-off later in the year.

Bijan Robinson
How much higher can Robinson soar for the Falcons in 2026? Collectors are hoping for another big year from the fourth-year running back, who led the NFL with 2,298 yards from scrimmage last season. As one of the most dynamic players in the game, Robinson racked up 1,478 yards and 7 touchdowns on the ground, and another 820 yards and 4 touchdowns on 79 receptions. Could he became a rare player to record 1,000 rushing and receiving yards in the same season?

Igor Chernyshov
Chernyshov spent most of last season in the AHL, but in his 28-game NHL stint, he showed he could produce. He scored nine goals in that time — second-most among Sharks rookies — and added 10 assists. Collectors looking to get ahead of a potential breakout in his first full season have been pushing Chernyshov’s name up watch lists.
