Caleb Williams
In his first career playoff game, Williams was faced with a 21-3 deficit at halftime against the Green Bay Packers, but that did not deter him. Williams engineered five scoring drives in the second half, including two fourth-quarter touchdown passes as Chicago overcame the early struggles for a 31-27 win — the largest playoff comeback in franchise history. “When the lights are bright,” said receiver D.J. Moore, “he’s brighter.” Chicago faces the Los Angeles Rams in the next round.

Anthony Edwards
Ever since making his debut, Edwards has been a consistent, all-around talent for the Timberwolves. That’s continued this season with a career-high 28.9 points per game, and he added a big highlight on Sunday with a game-winning fadeaway shot over Victor Wembanyama to cap a 19-point comeback victory.

Matthew Stafford
Consecutive Weeks on Hot List: 🔥🔥
It often pays dividends to have an experienced quarterback in the NFL playoffs, and Stafford proved the old adage once again in the Wild Card round. The 37-year-old tossed the game-winning touchdown pass with 38 seconds to play as the Rams defeated the Carolina Panthers 34-31. “I love those situations,” he said. “I live to do it. It’s great to do it on the road, too. Quieted a nice crowd today, so we’ll take it.” The Rams meet the Chicago Bears in the next round.

Tyrese Maxey
Maxey‘s breakout season continues, and he poured in 38 points on Sunday as he tried to will the 76ers past the Toronto Raptors by spending 45 minutes on the court. Maxey is averaging 30.9 points per game and leads the NBA in minutes per game (39.7) and field-goal attempts per game (22.6), showing he has what it takes to lead by example on a team in the thick of the playoff chase.

Deni Avdija
The Portland Trail Blazers have let Avdija loose this season, and he has showcased the skills that made him a first-round draft pick back in 2020. He’s averaging 26.1 points per game so far — well above his previous career-high total of 16.9 — and his breakout is a big reason why Portland has a chance to end its four-year playoff drought.

Mark Stone
Stone recently had a streak of seven games with a goal broken by the San Jose Sharks. But the Vegas captain added three assists the same night as the Golden Knights routed the Sharks, 7-2. Despite missing part of the season with an injury, the 14th-year veteran is enjoying a renaissance of sorts at age 33, posting 15 goals and 26 assists in 28 games this season as Vegas sits atop the Pacific Division.
