From a lengthy rainbow of parallels to autographs, variations, and inserts, there is plenty for everyone in the product, which released to high praise on January 14. The Mega Box version came out last week, giving collectors even more to chase.

Cooper Flagg
Consecutive Weeks on Hot List: 🔥🔥🔥
Flagg posted a career-high 49 points in a highly anticipated matchup against fellow rookie Kon Knueppel and the Charlotte Hornets. Then, Flagg followed up with another 34 points against the Houston Rockets. Still only 19, Flagg’s feats on the court always draw plenty of attention, just like his cards do from collectors.

Shedeur Sanders
While Sanders was not the starter throughout the entire season for the Cleveland Browns, he was still selected as a Pro Bowl replacement. Sanders heads into the offseason as the favorite to retain his starting role, and with a new head coach and offensive system in place, collectors will be watching closely from now until next fall to get a read on what Sanders might be able to do next.

Nikita Kucherov
During the annual Stadium Series game, Kucherov helped lead a furious comeback for the Tampa Bay Lightning. Playing in Tampa at Raymond James Stadium, Kucherov tallied four points, including the 10th and final goal of the game. The Lightning rallied from four down for the first time in franchise history and eventually defeated the Boston Bruins in a shootout, 6-5.

Cam Skattebo
After the New York Giants announced they’d hired John Harbaugh as their next coach, Skattebo declared it dawned a era of Giants football. The rookie scored five touchdowns in eight games before suffering a season-ending injury, but collectors are excited about the prospect of what he could do with a full season under a coach who has coached multiple 1,000-yard rushers in his career.

Luka Dončić
The Dallas Mavericks traded Dončić to the Los Angeles Lakers a year ago, and he has thrived in his new environment. Dončić has paced the NBA in scoring for most of the season and has the Lakers in position to try to make a deep postseason run, though the team’s defense will need to step up once the second-season gets underway.

Junior Caminero
Every winter, many baseball fans eagerly await the release of Steamer predictions for the next season. A complex projection offered by FanGraphs helps give fans insight into what their favorite players may do throughout the summer. The model believes Caminero will continue where he left off after mashing 45 home runs in 2025, ranking him within the top 10 of MLB hitters.

Morgan Geekie
Playing on the road in the NHL Stadium Series game, Geekie took advantage of his turn under the national spotlight. Geekie scored twice and added an assist to extend his points streak to seven games, but the Boston Bruins fell short in a shootout against the Tampa Bay Lightning. With 32 goals on the season, Geekie sits one shy of matching his career-high total.

With a limited production and plenty of chases, 2025-26 Topps Chrome Sapphire Basketball has been a hit with collectors since its release on January 22. Thank you for continuing the tradition of doing a hot and cold list. I followed this closely in the print publications of Beckett Baseball in the early 1990s.
The paragraph details you do now are great. Just like the lists of the 1990s, I would love to see a list of 30 players in the Hot. And 10 players in the Cold. Of course, it would be too much work to have a paragraph about each. But merely listing those players would be very helpful to the hobby.
