Caitlin Clark

Clark prevailed in back-to-back pivotal matchups last week. In a battle of No. 1 overall picks, Clark had 29 points and 10 assists as her Indiana Fever knocked off Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings, 98-87. Two days later, Clark posted 26 points and 9 assists in a 95-91 overtime win against the Atlanta Dream, who employ Clark’s long-time rival Angel Reese. The Fever are in prime playoff positioning, which will give Clark the chance to shine on the national stage again for the first time since 2024.

Drake Maye

A year after unexpectedly leading the New England Patriots to the Super Bowl, Maye seems as motivated as ever to get back. Reports from New England’s training camp have been glowing, with Maye earning high marks for accurate passing. Accuracy was a big part of Maye’s success last season, when he led the NFL with a 72.0 completion percentage and only threw eight interceptions in 17 starts, so if he continues where he left off, the rest of the league will need to game plan very carefully.

Ashton Jeanty

After a strong push as a rookie last year, Jeanty is trying to carve out an even more important role in the Las Vegas offense in 2026. After hauling in 55 passes last year, Jeanty has prioritized improving in the pass game during training camp. “I know he talked about that as being one of his goals in the offseason,” said Raiders running backs coach Omar Young, “to go attack that process of being a better route runner, and you’ve seen that show up here.” Jeanty also will look to eclipse the 1,000-yard rushing barrier after falling just 25 yards shy of it in 2025.

Logan Cooley

Cooley did not get to enjoy the full season last year due to injury, but after posting 24 goals and 19 assists in 54 games, the Utah Mammoth are excited about the future. Cooley is locked up on an eight-year contract, and like the Mammoth, collectors are hoping he’s in for a breakout season in 2026-27. The 22-year-old has scored at least 20 goals in each of his first three seasons, and his 40 assists in 2024-25 prove he’s willing to share the puck. That could help spell more success for the Mammoth — both now and in the future.

Olivia Miles

Consecutive Weeks on Hot List: 🔥🔥🔥

Miles has proven time and time again that she isn’t afraid of the biggest moments. The breakout Minnesota Lynx rookie scored 23 points against the defending WNBA champion Las Vegas Aces over the weekend, becoming the third rookie to ever score 20+ points against the reigning champs three times in one season. Already the likely unanimous choice for Rookie of the Year honors, Miles has also heard her name in MVP conversations, and collectors have taken notice.

Brock Faber

As the 2026-27 hockey season approaches, collectors have been looking back at those players whose late-year surges may translate to more even more success. Faber certainly fits the bill after the defenseman scored four times and assisted on six other goals during 11 postseason games with the Wild. Going into his fourth full season, the soon-to-be 24-year-old may be primed for his biggest year yet.

Kade Anderson

Anderson, a Seattle Mariners first-round draft pick in 2025, has been torching the competition at Double-A this season. Dating to July 3, the 22-year-old left-handed has pitched 20 2/3 consecutive scoreless innings for the Arkansas Travelers. Thus far, Anderson is 10-1 with a 1.06 ERA and 135 strikeouts across 93 1/3 innings for Arkansas, and he is seemingly becoming a candidate for a late-season call-up to the majors.
