Welcome to this week’s Beckett Sports Card Hot/Cold where we have some fun taking a quick look at what’s hot and what’s, well, cold in sports cards and sports.

2021 Bowman Baseball arrived officially on Wednesday. It’ll likely be a couple of years before we really know how the Chrome Prospect Autographs pan out as a whole. But that’s not stopping the annual hunt for “1st Chrome” ink, Refractors and more.

It was a good week to be a “Jr.” in baseball this week. Ronald Acuna Jr. continues on his torrid pace. And while a three-home run performance by Vladimir Guerrero Jr. got the headlines, but the Blue Jays first baseman has been strong all year. There are certainly signs that he’s about to become the superstar many were expecting when he was first called up two years ago. And then there’s Fernando Tatis Jr. who is #10 or #11 on our Hot 9 following his massive weekend.

Trevor Lawrence going first overall in the NFL Draft on Thursday was hardly a surprise. But that hasn’t kept his cards from garnering lots of attention. His early cards from Leaf continue to surge. The first cards from his Topps set, including autographs, are starting to surface and commanding big prices. Boxes are currently going for more than double what they were originally on the Topps website. Panini’s 2021 football card lineup kicks off soon and that will likely take things to another level.

This week’s Hot/Cold is brought to you by Dynasty Breaks.

@Rene – It depends. He has thousands of different cards. Some can be extremely valuable, others not so much. There are lots of variables.
