2022 Panini Prizm WWE has several firsts. Looking at the big picture, it’s Panini’s debut product with their new WWE license. That also makes it Prizm’s professional wrestling debut. Dig into the checklist itself and collectors will get their first opportunity to pull cards of several emerging stars from mainstream packs for the first time.

Some are already receiving strong pushes on NXT. Others could be building towards bigger things in the future. At any rate, if you’re into both prospecting and wrestling, they are some of the names in 2022 Panini Prizm WWE to watch.

Bron Breakker

Just days before Panini debuted Prizm, Bron Breakker had the honor of helping induct his father and uncle, Rick and Scott Steiner, into the WWE Hall of Fame, fought for the NXT Championship in the main event of NXT: Stand and Deliver, then won the title in a rematch on the Raw after WrestleMania.

Since WWE reset things with NXT 2.0, Breakker has been the focal point of the promotion. And for good reason. He’s the total package of in-ring ability, size and charisma. He’s also comes across as a genuinely likeable person that’s easy to cheer for.

Don’t be surprised if Breakker is main eventing Raw or SmackDown in the not-too-distant future.

Carmelo Hayes

In just his second televised NXT match, Carmelo Hayes was facing one of the best ever from the black and gold brand — Adam Cole. This was no squash match, either. While Hayes didn’t win, it was still a showcase for him and a sign of what was to soon follow. In August, he won the 2021 NXT Breakout Tournament and a couple of months later Hayes was the NXT North American Champion, a title he held through WrestleMania weekend.

Hayes is already one of the best in NXT 2.0, carrying tremendous swagger and confidence both in the ring and on the mic.

Gable Steveson

Worst case scenario for Gable Steveson’s cards is that he’s an Olympic gold medalist and two-time NCAA Division I wrestling champion. It’s clear, though, that WWE isn’t looking at Steveson and thinking “worst-case” scenario, though. From his earliest appearances and push, he’s likely to be heading right to the top of the roster. If Breakker isn’t the one to eventually stop Roman Reigns, it very well could be Steveson.

Grayson Waller

Another new face in NXT 2.0, Grayson Waller has thrived as a heel. His style is athletic, but his arrogance makes him easy to jeer. He’s also been involved in some high-profile storylines including taking out Johnny Gargano during the NXT legend’s farewell promo.

Harland

If someone told you Parker Bordeaux, or Harland as he’s known in NXT, was Brock Lesnar’s brother, you’d probably believe them. Since debuting on TV, Harland has been alongside Joe Gacy. It’s still early, but there’s definitely the monstrous side to the former football player’s build and look. WWE has a history of showcasing big men so there should be some opportunity for Harland in the years ahead.

Ivy Nile

Originally trained in mixed martial arts, Ivy Nile brings a legit fight feel to the ring. Currently part of the Diamond Mine faction, Nile (fka Emily Andzulis) was the first female to win on TV’s The Titan Games, which was hosted by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Her tough athletic portrayal has helped her stand out both in her matches and her character thus far.

Jacy Jayne

Jacy Jayne is one-third of Toxic Attraction, the focal point of NXT 2.0’s female division. Mandy Rose may be the face, but Jayne and Gigi Dolin are multi-time tag champs already. It remains to be seen if Jayne will have the opportunity to break out on her own at some point or build further on her character’s personality versus the collective group. Still, when you’re part of the spotlight every week, that shows the level of confidence WWE has in her.

It is worth noting the Jayne does have a card in the indie 2019 Ignite Wrestling set under her previous in-ring name, Avery Taylor.

Joe Gacy

Gacy was an indie wrestling veteran prior to signing with WWE. In recent months, he’s tapped into something with the politically correct heel character. It hasn’t always resulted in great matches, but there’s the entertainment side that has been working in his favor thus far.

Solo Sikoa

Professional wrestling is in Solo Sikoa’s blood. His dad is WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi. He’s also the younger brother of Jimmy and Jey Uso. There seems to be a natural place to eventually introduce him on the main roster alongside his brothers and cousin, Roman Reigns.
