2027 SkyBox Metal Universe AEW Details
The eccentric worlds of AEW wrestling and Metal Universe trading cards collide again for a colorful 2027 product that draws on nostalgic and modern aesthetics.
With themes that debuted in other sports during the 1990s and other concepts designed specifically with All Elite Wrestling in mind, collectors will find a solid mix and plenty of guarantees in every hobby box.
Those 15-pack boxes include one autograph or Precious Metal Gems card, four numbered cards, and 25 additional inserts or parallels.
2027 SkyBox Metal Universe AEW Checklist Overview
The base set runs 100 cards to cover the top talent within the AEW ranks and features a steel plate design.
Parallels start with Copper FX (1:5 packs). From there, it’s a shift to numbered options, including blaster-exclusive Purple Spectrum, Speckle (/299), and the iconic Precious Metal Gems, which are available in Red (/100), Green (/10) and Gold (1/1).
Select base cards also have autographs in Base (1:60), Green FX (/10) and Gold FX (1/1) versions.
Inserts
Common inserts, which combine to land 15 times per hobby box, feature all-new concepts:
- Wrestle Dream (1:4 packs)
- And NEW! (1:5)
- Club Vertical (1:5)
- Top Draws (1:5)
- Premiere Debuts (1:10)
Each of those sets have three tiers of numbered parallels — Red, Green, and Gold (1/1). Print runs have not yet been announced for the Red or Green versions.
The next tier includes themes familiar to other SkyBox products. These combine to land seven times per hobby box:
- Z-Force (1:4)
- High Voltage (1:11)
- N-Tense (1:11)
Each set has its own parallels with Z-Force Rave (/399) and Super Rave (/50), High Voltage Gold (/100), and N-Tense Gold (/99).
Another throwback is 2013 Metal Universe Retros (1:40 packs). These repurpose the Metal insert design from 2013 Fleer Retro Marvel and utilize comic-style art of featured wrestlers. Like the base AEW set, these these retro cards have Red (/100), Green (/10), and Gold (1/1) PMG parallels.
For a tough chase, collectors will seek out All In & Out inserts (1:720 packs) — which are inspired by basketball’s famed Jambalaya inserts — and Printing Plates from the base set and the eight common insert sets.
