2026 SkyBox Metal Universe Space Jam 30th Anniversary Details
With Michael Jordan and characters from the Looney Tunes on board, Space Jam burst into the mainstream consciousness in November 1996, and 30 years later, it remains a revered film enjoyed by millions of fans.
To celebrate the milestone anniversary, Upper Deck has produced a 2026 SkyBox Metal Universe Space Jam 30th Anniversary tribute set that includes all your favorite characters from the film — including Jordan.
Collectors can expect three numbered cards and more than two dozen insert cards in every hobby box.
2026 SkyBox Metal Universe Space Jam 30th Anniversary Checklist Overview
A 50-card base set captures leading characters from the film, including players from the Tune Squad and the Monstars. Parallels include Logo Variations, Purple FX (Blaster Exclusive), Pink FX (/75), and Orange FX (/25).
In every hobby case, collectors can expect one autographed card — which could feature Michael Jordan from sets like Autographics.
Inserts, however, are the product’s primary driver.
In every six-card hobby pack, collectors will find three inserts. Two of them will come from common themes: Big Ups, Cinematic, Monstars, or Ready to Jam.
The next level of inserts include Z-Force, Trophy Case, and Magnetic Field, which combine to fall four times per box.
Also landing a combined four to a box are Superalloy, SkyBox Premium, and E-X inserts. Collectors can also find SkyBox Premium parallels like Star Sapphire, Star Rubies, Star Emerald, and Star Diamond, as well as E-X Credentials Now and Credentials Future parallels.
At the case level, collectors will be looking for a combined two cards from these sets: Platinum Portrait, Jambalaya, Gold Universe, All-Galactic Team, Metal Universe Retro, and Michael Jordan Halfcourt Dunk, a tribute to a classic film scene.
The retro Metal Universe cards also feature Precious Metal Gems parallels in Red (/100), Green (/10), and Gold (1/1).
