2026 Metal Universe SE Multi-Sport goes heavy on the nostalgia and space themes — and it should considering some of the original designers who worked on 1990s SkyBox Metal Universe sets were brought on board to help make this product possible.
Featuring a wide array of athletes from across the global sports spectrum, collectors will find plenty of recognizable concepts from several ’90s brands, including Precious Metal Gems, Fresh Foundations, Jambalaya, Z-Force, and SkyBox Premium.
Collectors can expect three numbered or unannounced cards in every hobby box, as well as plenty of inserts. There are autographs in the product, but they are tough pulls.
2026 Metal Universe SE Multi-Sport Checklist Overview
The base set runs 200 cards and is broken into several segments. The first 100 cards are traditional base issues featuring athletes and celebrities from throughout the world, including smaller sports like snowboarding.
Four subsets follow — Steller Cartography (101-125), Fresh Foundation (126-150), Meteorites (151-175), and Triangulum (176-200). Collectors will find one subset card in every pack.
Aqua (Retail – 1:2; 1:8 for subsets), Purple FX (Retail – /299), Pink F/X (Hobby – /75) and Orange F/X (Hobby – /25) parallels cover all 200 cards in the base set, and collectors can also find four hobby-exclusive Precious Metal Gems parallels.

There are also a handful of base short prints.
Select cards from the base set also have autographed versions (1:100 packs) and Gold parallels (/25). Autographed cards from the subsets are hobby exclusive, have pack odds of 1:300, and have a Gold parallel (/10).
The only other signatures from the product hail from the Galactic Penmanship set (/50), which has Red (/25) and Green /10) parallels and dual versions (/5), and a Star Emerald parallel (/25) in the SkyBox Premium insert.
There are numerous insert options that can be found in both hobby and retail versions of the product, though parallels to the inserts are hobby exclusive.
Two popular ’90s brand return as the most common inserts in this product — Z-Force (Hobby – 1:5 packs) and SkyBox Premium (1:6).
Z-Force also stays true to the brand in parallels with reprisals of Rave (/150) and Super Rave (/50), as well as Galaxy Rave (/25) and Universe Rave (/1) additions.
The same can be said for SkyBox Premium, which maintains the gem-themed parallel structure first seen in the late ’90s:

The next tier of inserts include Magnetic Field and Mesmerize (both 1:12 hobby packs), which each have Red (/199), Green (/99), and Purple (/10) parallels.
Each hobby box also includes one E-X insert (1:15 packs). These maintain the original parallel theming from the ’90s, with Essentials Credentials Now and Essential Credentials Future parallels, which are serial-numbered based on the card number or the inverse of the card number.
Gold Universe, Neophytes, and Quick Strike (1:30 hobby packs) inserts make up the next tier, but the rest of the product’s concepts are tough finds:
