2026 Football Cards Release Dates, Checklists and Set Information
The 2026 football card release calendar offers collectors a lot of options — but it’s going to look quite a bit different than it has for the past decade.
Starting in April 2026, the exclusive rights to produce fully licensed football cards switched from Panini to Fanatics — the parent company of Topps. Collectors got a glimpse of what’s to come at the end of the 2025 football card calendar, when Topps released a handful of sets.
But now that the company has an entire calendar year to make its mark, collectors are bound to see the football debut of some of Topps’ most well-known products and other first-year products. That said, it doesn’t mean that football cards are automatically all Topps all the time.
Panini will produce unlicensed football cards throughout the season, and Leaf also includes high school, college, retired, and a few active players in its football sets, which are likewise unlicensed. Upper Deck holds licensing rights for the Canadian Football League. This page will serve as your home to those sets and more from now until the 2027 products begin hitting shelves.
What follows is a full 2026 football card release calendar, which also provides links to related set information (at least for what’s been announced). The current week’s pre-orders and releases are listed first, followed by upcoming sets that are arranged by tentative release date. Once a product becomes available, you can find it by clicking on the “Already Released” tab at the top of this page and searching for the set through an alphabetical list or simply continue scrolling.
