2026-27 O-Pee-Chee Hockey Details
Upper Deck resurrected the O-Pee-Chee brand name two decades ago, and it’s still going strong as a set builder’s paradise that chronicles the season that was.
With numerous parallels and variations also in play, collectors will need plenty of cards to wrap up a master set or even a complete run of their favorite player or team.
Collectors can expect four numbered cards per hobby box, as well as several inserts and parallels.
2026-27 O-Pee-Chee Hockey Checklist Overview
The 600-card base set is broken into two segments, with a slightly shorter printed high series taking up the final 100 slots on the checklist and falling once per pack. Cards in the high series include League Leaders, Award Winners, Postseason Highlights, and Marquee Rookies.
The first 500 base cards are covered by a few parallels:
- Blue Border
- Yellow Border
- Red Border (1:18)
- Orange Border /199 (Blaster exclusive)
- Purple Border /49 (Hobby exclusive)
The high series has its own slate of parallels:
- Blue Border
- Red Border (1:18)
- Rainbow Foil /350
- Black Foil /100
- Purple Border /49 (Hobby exclusive)
- Green Foil /33
- Gold Foil 1/1
The base set also has Retro Variations found once per hobby pack, and collectors will chase the Black Border (/100) parallel. Upper Deck will mix in a limited amount of hot boxes, which include only Blank Back, Gold Border (/10), or Blank Back Red (1/1) Retro Variations.

Inserts
O-Pee-Chee Playing Cards appear for an 11th straight year.
Collectors will find four of the popular hobby-exclusive insert in each box, and the cards come in four levels of rarity:
- Numbers: 1:6 packs
- Jacks, Queens, and Kings: 1:34
- Aces: 1:102
- Jokers: 1:203
O-Pee-Chee Premier inserts also return (1:6 hobby packs). Parallels include Foil Ring (/299), Diamond Rainbow Foilboard (/75), and Sparkler (/25).
Collectors can get a sneak peak at 2026-27 O-Pee-Chee Platinum and its numerous parallels with Preview cards. In addition to the base version, collectors can also find:

Lenticular 3-D Marquee Rookies are always a hit with collectors, and the new version shouldn’t be an exception. That said, pack odds are extremely tough at 1:1,728.
Another popular chase is the Top Rookie Puzzle Bounty.
Collectors will find one of nine puzzle pieces in every 96 hobby packs (roughly every fifth box), and those who collect all nine pieces can redeem them through Upper Deck’s bounty program for up to three bounty award cards of a top rookie.
