2025 Topps Finest Football sees another iconic brand return to gridiron in licensed form.

For the first time since 2015, collectors will have a fully licensed Finest set to chase, and it will pick up in the modern format that was used in an unlicensed version of the product in 2024.

No information has been released on boxes or release dates yet, but a Topps.com pre-order is slated for April 20.

2025 Topps Finest Football Checklist Overview

For those collectors who enjoyed the tiered Select sets from Panini, Topps Finest makes for a solid alternative. At 300 cards, the checklist is broken into three tiers — common, uncommon, and rare, which will each have their own design and should have a unique slate of parallel production runs.

Autographs and inserts are also hallmarks of a modern Finest release in any sport — and this product follows the trend with new designs and old favorites.

Finest Autographs lay the signature foundation, with sets dedicated to veterans and rookies. Taking on a retro theme with a swirling rainbow and a galactic background, collectors can expect the bulk of the product’s autographs to land here.

Topps has also given legends their own checklist, and Finest Greats Autographs feature another very colorful design.

Finest Moments, which started as inserts and autographs back in 2000, are back for the first time since 2013. These cards capture specific moments from a player’s career.

Retro vibes continue with Finest Freshman Autographs, which recycle the design seen on one of the subsets in 1996 Finest Football, the first-ever tiered Finest set.

For one more dose of nostalgia, there are Flashback Autographs, set to the design of the 2006 Finest football set.

History continues to pour in throughout the inserts, specifically with 1992 Finest Throwbacks, which feature the original design on the first Finest set of all-time — a small football series from 1992. Centurions, an insert that made a single appearance in 1998, also returns.

Among the short-printed chases is another retro set — the Finest Landmark Metal Series, which is modeled after the 1995 set of the same name that was printed on metal and bronze.

Additional SP inserts include The Man, Headliners, and Nightmare Fuel.
