2025-26 Upper Deck Extended Series Hockey Details
2025-26 Upper Deck Extended Series Hockey is the final installment in the company’s annual flagship trilogy, but this year’s edition has a new treat for collectors – NHL Debut Game Jersey cards.
In addition to the new jersey cards, Upper Deck also delivers the latest slate of Young Runs and 1st Round Rookies, as well as plenty of inserts that honor the past and present.

Collectors can expect to find three numbered cards in every hobby box and more than two dozen combined inserts and parallels.
2025-26 Upper Deck Extended Series Hockey Checklist Overview
The Extended Series base set runs from cards 501-750, picking up where Series 2 leaves off. A 4 Nations Face-Off subset replaces the All-Star subset seen in previous years.

Cards #501-700 will feature veterans, while cards #701-750 are reserved for Young Guns and 1st Round Rookies, which combine to land once every other hobby pack.

A handful of parallels cover the entire set:
- Outburst (Veterans – 1:30 packs; Young Guns – 1:100; 1st Round Rookies – 1:150)
- Clear Cut (Veterans – 1:96; Young Guns – 1:240; 1st Round Rookies – 1:360)
- Deluxe /250
- UD Exclusives /100
- Outburst Red /25
- High Gloss /10
- Outburst Gold /1

Collectors can find additional versions of the Young Guns cards, with Canvas and Retro versions:
- Canvas (1:24 packs)
- Canvas – Black And White (1:135)
- Canvas – Printing Plates /1
- Retro – Outburst (1:2,880)
- Retro – Outburst Red /25
- Retro – Outburst Gold /1

But the biggest chase when it comes to rookies are the new Rookie Debut Game Jersey cards.
The latest innovation includes a swatch from a jersey a player wore during their NHL debut, as well as a photo from that game. Collectors face steep odds when it comes to base versions (1:1008 packs) and autographed versions numbered to match a player’s jersey number carry even more scarcity.
Each player also has a gold-signed 1/1 version that, according to Upper Deck, may “may include a provenance tag issued by the team or a third-party authenticator or a personalized inscription from the team’s equipment manager on the tag or fight strap.”

Upper Deck has indicated that at least the following players will be included in the program:
- Matthew Schaefer (New York Islanders)
- Michael Misa (San Jose Sharks)
- Beckett Sennecke (Anaheim Ducks)
- Brady Martin (Nashville Predators)
- Isaac Howard (Edmonton Oilers)
- Sam Dickinson (San Jose Sharks)
- Danila Yurov (Minnesota Wild)
- Easton Cowan (Toronto Maple Leafs)
- Daniil But (Utah Mammoth)
As always, there are plenty of traditional inserts in the Extended Series, some that are new and some that carry over from Series 1 and Series 2.
Among the returners are:
- Dazzlers Blue (1:12 packs)
- Sizzle Reel (1:5)
- UD Canvas (1:4)
Dazzlers also have Pink (1:72) and Gold (1:2,880) versions, while Sizzle Reel cards come in Speckle (1:80), Red (/199), and Gold (/25) parallels.

UD Canvas cards have Black And White (1:60) parallels, as well as Legends and 4 Nations Face-Off cards (Base – 1:96; Black And White – 1:540).

Upper Deck pays tribute to its history in a trio of inserts themed after late 1990s and early 2000s products: HoloGrFX, Pros And Prospects, and UD3.
Pros And Prospects cards are inserted 1:3 packs and have a Gold parallel numbered to /250, while UD3 inserts fall 1:4 packs and have a Gold parallel numbered to /333.
HoloGrFX inserts come in three varieties:
- Rookies (1:60 packs)
- AuSOME (1:120)
- Star View (1:360)

Additional inserts include:
- Understood The Assignment (1:4)
- Rookie Reflections (1:5)
- Power Play (1:5)
- All-World Team (1:6)

Rookie Reflections have a Gold parallel (/100), while the other three inserts each have Speckle, Red (/199), and Gold (/25) parallels.

Tougher numbered finds include Rookie Update (Base – /1999; Red – /199; Gold – /10) and Trilogy Rookie Premiere (Common – /999; Uncommon – /499; Rare – /99).
SSP inserts include Killer Keepers (print run of 35) and 2025-26 Synergy Rookies (/26).
