2025-26 Panini Origins Basketball Details
Panini is writing an origins story of sorts as it navigates its first year as an unlicensed basketball card manufacturer, but the next chapter in the narrative is 2025-26 Panini Origins Basketball, the return of a product that focuses on beginnings.
And this story comes with more hits.

Hobby boxes have three additional cards over last year’s version, and collectors are assured of two autographs and a memorabilia card in each box. To compare, the 2024-25 edition offered a combined two autographs or memorabilia cards in every hobby box.

Autographs
Panini delivers signatures in a variety of forms. From hard-signed cards to multi-signed cards to booklets to autographed memorabilia cards, collectors have the chance to uncover plenty of treasures from the product.
Rookie Jersey Autographs have gone horizontal in the new set, but they offer a larger jersey swatch than last season’s rookies received.

On the other end of the spectrum are Legendary Patch Autographs, which showcase retired greats with an autograph and smaller jersey swatch.

Solo-signed cards include OrigiNation Autographs, which picture players wrapped in the flag of their birth country.

Rookie Acetate Autographs include a unique layered approach with a large space for the signature that stands out.

Additional autograph sets include Rookie Autographs, Elevation Signatures, Blood Moon Signatures, Dead Of Night Signatures, Eclipse Signatures, Lights Of The Night Signatures, Provenance Autographs, and Constellations Signatures.
Those craving more than one autograph can get their fill with Triple Signatures.

Another option are booklets, which come in several forms.
Origins Of Greatness Booklets place one player and his signature on each panel of a two-panel booklet, while Rookie Stars Dual Patch Signature Booklets include two players with their signature on one panel and two jumbo memorabilia pieces on the other.
Even more star power can be found on Six Star Signatures, which line up three players on each panel for incredible groupings.

First-year talent is also featured in Rookie Autograph Patch Booklets.
Memorabilia
Though Panini couldn’t do as much on 2025 NBA Draft Night as Topps did, the company still found a way to make their mark.
Rookie Hats include draft night photos and swatches taken from baseball caps worn by select draftees that night. Chases will include cards with pieces of the golden Panini logo that adorned the caps.

Inserts
Gala, the rare inserts (/8) that have been seen in 2023-24 Panini Recon and 2024-25 Panini Silhouette since their lengthy run in Panini Chronicles, now make their Origins debut.

White Tiger Eyes, an SSP seen in Origins since 2022, bring back the piercing eyes that collectors love.

On The Horizon is an all-rookie insert that depicts players on a throne in an illustrated style.
