2024 Upper Deck Allure AEW Details
After a year’s absence, chrome wrestling cards are jumping back in the AEW ring. 2024 Upper Deck Allure AEW highlights not only color but several bold (some might even say out-there) insert themes. While traditional hits are on the tough side in this product, collectors should find parallels and inserts in more hobby packs to go along with the regular base cards.
2024 Upper Deck Allure Checklist Overview
The main set starts with 100 regular cards. From there, things move to both SPs (1:4 packs) and Horizontal SPs (1:4 packs).
Each of these levels has a similar assortment of parallels:
- Black Rainbow – 1:4 packs, SP – 1:15 packs
- Red Rainbow – 1:7 packs, SP – 1:26 packs
- Orange Slice – 1:16 packs, SP – 1:64 packs
- Steel Chair – 1:72 packs, SP – 1:288 packs
- Crimson – 1:144 packs, SP – 1:576 packs
- AEW Logo – /199
- Green Rainbow – /99
- Black and Blue – /35
- Purple Diamond – /10
- Golden Treasures – 1/1
Retail blaster boxes are the only place to find Glitter Bomb parallels. Base cards are 1:4 packs while SPs are 1:16.
Select cards also get signed versions with Red Autographs (1:52 packs), Purple Diamond Autographs (/10) and Golden Treasures Autographs (1/1).
Inserts
As far as inserts go, one of Allure’s calling cards is Color Flow. Rainbow is a part of the modern hobby’s vocabulary, typically referring to a card’s many parallels in a particular product. With Color Flow, there is the parallel idea, but it takes things a step further. Build the full run for any wrestler and the cards build a puzzle that move seamlessly through the full ROYGBIV color spectrum.
Color Flow versions include:
- Red-Orange – 1:2 packs
- Orange-Yellow – 1:4 packs
- Yellow-Green – 1:8 packs
- Green Blue – 1:12 packs
- Blue-Purple – 1:24 packs
At the end of the proverbial rainbow is a one-of-one Golden Treasures version.
Collectors should find a couple of both In Action and Straps per hobby box. Parallels for these are similar to the base set, including some autographs.
Aerial (1:5 packs) puts the spotlight on AEW’s high flyers, casting them against a cloudy backdrop. Green Rainbow (/99), Purple Diamond (/10) and Golden Treasures (1/1) make up the parallels. Some have autographs as well, which are a tough 1:800 packs.
Other common inserts include AE DUB (1:7 packs), Crowd Reaction (1:8 packs) and This Is Awesome (1:8 packs). Both have the same parallels as Aerial.
The 2024 Upper Deck Allure AEW checklist has some short print inserts as well including Allure Quartz (1:81 packs) and Mox (1:689 packs).
According to Upper Deck, Doubloons, which use an intricate gold design, are a case hit.
It’s the same for 16 Bit, which offer pixelated looks at superstars as though they’re in a 1990s video game.
