2024-25 Upper Deck Artifacts Hockey gets the season going with autographs and memorabilia cards. Rookie Redemptions also return, delivering somewhat mysterious IOUs for the year’s top early-season debuts.

Hobby boxes promise three total hits, which could be autographs, memorabilia cards or other premium inserts.

2024-25 Upper Deck Artifacts Hockey Checklist Overview

The base set structure doesn’t change much from recent years. Including the Rookie Redemptions, it’s 250 total cards although it’s the first 200 that are live in packs. These break down into a handful of thematic subsets that break players up.

The first 100 are regular cards and can be considered common as far as rarity goes. The remaining 100 cards are all serial numbered:

  • Stars (#101-135) – /699
  • Goalies (#136-155) – /699
  • Legends (#156-170) – /599
  • Rookies (#171-200) – /999

All 200 cards have similar parallels:

  • Neon Green – 1:4 blaster packs
  • Foilboard – 1:20 hobby packs
  • Gold Foilboard – 1:40 hobby packs
  • Plexi – 1:60 hobby packs
  • Ruby – /499
  • Emerald – /149
  • Copper – /75
  • Orange – /65
  • Yellow – /50
  • Pink – /35
  • Purple – /25
  • Spectrum Jungle – /15
  • Seafoam Green – /10
  • Black – /5
  • Masterful Artifacts – 1/1

On top of these, most cards also have base autographs and various combinations of numbered memorabilia versions.

Autographs and Memorabilia Cards

The 2024-25 Upper Deck Artifacts Hockey checklist has several other autograph and memorabilia subsets beyond the base.

Auto Facts (1:50 packs) returns for another year with an all-encompassing approach.

Fresco Signatures (1:150 packs) make their debut. These use more design elements, drawing inspiration from the style of art.

Rare autograph inserts include Signs of Success, Signature Apparel, Top Tier Rookie Signatures (1:1,000 packs), Esteemed Endorsements (/28), Stories Scripts (/25), and Admirable Impressions (/24).

NHL Remnants (1:50 packs) is one of the more common memorabilia sets. An added layer for these is hiding in the background. Putting together the set will reveal a puzzle, although cards do stand on their own.

Other relic themes include Stanley Cup Showdown Jerseys (1:200 pack), Silky Mitts (1:1,200 packs), Tundra Teammates Duos (/249) and Tundra Teammates Quads (/49).

It’s not just player gear that makes up the memorabilia. Inaugural Access Ticket has stubs from team’s debut seasons. Modern covers franchises from 1980 to the present while Vintage is reserved for teams from 1967-1979.

There’s also Arena Artifacts (/67), which commemorate the Spectrum Arena in Philadelphia. Players spotlight Flyers greats while the relics come from the arena.

Additional Inserts

Artifacts has a few other insert sets. Hobby boxes without a Rookie Redemption get an acetate card instead. These come in four forms: 2023-24 Clear Cut Artifacts Rookies (1:67 packs), 2023-24 Clear Cut Artifacts Rookie Updates (1:55 packs), Antiquity (1:100 packs) and Antiquity Rookies (1:200 packs).

Aurum returns with a 48-card checklist. Standard cards are 1:20 packs with additional subsets getting longer odds: Rookies Tier 1 (1:160 packs) Rookies Tier 2 (1:320 packs), Legends (1:640 packs) and Legends All-Stars (1:640 packs).

Aurum cards double as the 2024-25 Upper Deck Artifacts Hockey Bounty program. Those that complete the set and register it with the codes on the back of each get two exclusive additions to the checklist not available in packs.

To add some speed incentive, the first 25 to complete the set also get an additional 12-card Aurum set. The first three get both an autograph and dual autograph while those finishing fourth through tenth receive an autograph.

Rookie Redemptions

Ask most collectors and they’re likely to agree that redemptions are not ideal. Yet, Artifacts Hockey has made them one of the brand’s defining features. With the league being strict on players appearing in an NHL game before they get their first cards. Artifacts typically arrives too early to get the season’s debuts. Carryovers from late in the previous season make up the live rookie content. So enter the redemptions.

Each team has a mystery redemption, which is usually reserved for their top first-year player. The balance of the checklist are Wild Cards who can come from any team. They’re basically the best of the leftovers.

The only standard Rookie Redemption parallels are Emerald.

Joining them are Horizontal SP Photo Variants and a variety of Roman Numeral autographs, memorabilia and autographed memorabilia cards.

Rookie Redemption names are typically announced mid-way through the season.
