2024-25 Basketball Cards: What’s In Store
Panini maintains the exclusive on NBA and WNBA products. That means they’re the only place to find cards with full logos and trademarks. But they’re not the only company making basketball cards.
Topps will soon take over the NBA license. But even without it, they continue to roll out products. They’ve acquired an NBA Players Association deal meaning comprehensive releases with current and retired players.
Further complicating things is the fact that Fanatics has exclusive autograph deals with some of the year’s top rookies. This means no signatures in Panini’s NBA products, although they do play a key role in Topps’ sets similar to Victor Wembanyama in 2023-24.
Both Topps and Panini have NCAA deals for cards of current collegiate standouts.
