2023 Topps Finest Star Wars brings back colorful chromium cards for the brand’s second consecutive year. Bold designs, lots of parallels and several insert sets anchor the checklist. There’s also the promise of two premium inserts per hobby box, at least one of which is either an autograph or sketch card.

2023 Topps Finest Star Wars Checklist Overview

The base set is a character-driven affair, spanning movies and recent television series. It consists of 100 cards. Besides their standard versions, each card has nine parallels:

• Aqua Refractors – /199
• Green Refractors – /99
• Purple RayWave Refractors – /75
• Gold Refractors – /50
• Orange Refractors – /25
• Black Refractors – /10
• Red Refractors – /5
• Superfractors – 1/1

At the end of the checklist are a smaller selection of Extended Base Set short prints, which land 1:17 packs. Parallels for these are limited to:

Autographs and Other Inserts

Finest Autographs lead the signature chase as far as quantity, both in the number of signers and availability. Similar to the main set, numbered Refractors expand things even further:

Some of the best signers are held for Prime Autographs, which have just 10 copies each. Red Refractors (/5) and Superfractors (1/1) are the lone parallels here.

Sketch cards land approximately every seventh box. They come in both standard and shaped versions.

Digging into the brand’s archives somewhat is Finest Warriors. The design for these are adapted from a “Warriors” themed subset in 1997 Finest Baseball. These are the most common inserts in 2023 Finest Star Wars, falling 1:3 packs.

Other inserts include Finest Moments (1:6 packs) and Tales of the Jedi (1:6 packs).

All three of these have similar Gold Refractor (/50), Red Refractor (/5) and Superfractor (1/1) parallels.

Rounding out the checklist are tough Enemies of the Empire cards, which are 1:140 packs. These case hits highlight Republic heroes from the perspective of the evil Empire. Refractor parallels come in the form of Gold (/50), Orange (/25), Black (/10), Red (/5) and Broken Glass (1/1).
