2023 Topps Archives Signature Series Baseball Retired Edition provides collectors with a quick and easy way to nab a certified autograph of a player from the past. That’s not the only layer of nostalgia, either. Like other Archives Signature Series releases, cards are all buybacks — originals from past Topps releases.
For those familiar with the line, not much has changed except the mix of players. For those new to Archives Signature Series, each hobby box has a single card — an autographed buyback. Signatures are on-card and each has a special gold-foil stamp noting the 2023 release (or rerelease, depending on how you look at it).
A small number of Dual Autographs are also available.
Cards come already housed in a holder and sealed with a sticker.
Everything is also serial numbered. However, numbering refers to the number of copies for a specific card, not the total signed by a player. Signers typically have several cards. The nature of Topps Archives Signature Series also means a lot of cards numbered one-of-one.
One new twist can be found on cards with Hall of Famers. The foil stamp on these notes their status as Cooperstown inductees.

How in the world is Enos Slaughter on this checklist considering he died in 2002. Several others have been dead for quite a while as well.
They probably signed cards over the years, which Topps could have purchased.
Don’t remind me, Teixeira had like 100+ of them in 2020. They still keep appearing.
