2022 Panini Instant WWE Checklist, Print Runs and Details
2022 Panini Instant WWE showcases the big events and matches of the year shortly after the happen. Pay-per-views Premium live events, championship clashes and notable debuts are just some of the things collectors can expect to find.
The set kicks off on WrestleMania weekend at the start of April and will push forward throughout the year.
Cards are exclusive to Panini’s website for a limited time. Like other sets under the Instant banner, it’s a print-on-demand release. So what’s bought during the initial sales window becomes the print run. Although they don’t have serial numbers, print runs are noted on the back of each card.
Each 2022 Panini Instant WWE card also has a pair of parallels that are available separately, Versicolor (/5) and Black (1/1). These stay in Panini’s store until they sell. Unlike base versions, there is no countdown clock. That said, popular wrestlers can sell through in minutes due to the small print runs.
According to Panini, some cards may get the autograph treatment as well.
This is Panini’s first online WWE release since acquiring the license, which had been with Topps for more than 15 years. The kickoff also comes the same week as Panini’s first WWE hobby release, 2022 Prizm. The format and focus is similar to earlier Topps Now WWE sets.
How to Order
2022 Panini Instant WWE cards are available on the card maker’s online store. The exact dates that cards go on sale can vary but the window to purchase them is typically a few days.
Individual cards are $9.99. Bulk lots of the same card are also available at a discount: five cards for $29.99, 10 for $49.99 and 25 for $99.99.
At times, 2022 Panini Instant WWE Weekly Passes may also be offered including one copy from a particular event, promising both a discount and the convenience of getting everything in one order.
Another place to look is eBay and other secondary market sources. For a lot of online-only sets, there are often sellers who buy in bulk and offer individual cards during the pre-sale for less than they are on Panini’s site.
