2021 Upper Deck National Hockey Card Day Checklist and Promotion Details

Things have been a little different this year. Pandemics have a way of ensuring that. But through it all, 2021 Upper Deck National Hockey Card Day is still happening. It’s just a few months later than usual.

Running July 24, collectors from all parts of the world can visit participating shops, get free packs of exclusive cards and, in many stores, take part in larger collecting celebrations.

Canada and the United States have separate checklists, which is normal for National Hockey Card Day. This year, some international shops are also getting in on the promotion, although they’re getting the same cards as the US and not a third part.

For both sets, the base sets have 16 total cards. The first 15 are in packs while a special Rookie Moments subset Alexis Lafreniere card is available with a $10 purchase of Upper Deck products. The Lafreniere in the Canadian set pictures him as a member of Team Canada. The American set features the 2020 first overall pick in his New York Rangers uniform.

The main 15-card base sets are both divided into three subsets honoring the past, present and future of the game.

The 2021 Upper Deck National Hockey Card Day checklist has a small number of inserts randomly inserted in packs. Victory Black Rookies return with five different cards for each country. It’s the same with Mascots.

Autographs can also be found.

Finally, Canadian London Drugs and Toys R Us stores have exclusive card sheets.
