2021 Topps Star Wars: I Am Your Father’s Day Checklist and Details
Family is at the heart of the Star Wars saga. It’s dysfunctional at times and not always traditional, but outside of The Force, it’s the bond that brings people (and aliens) together in all of the films and shows. To that end, 2021 Topps Star Wars: I Am Your Father’s Day looks specifically at the dads and father figures in a galaxy far, far away.
The set is a small one with just ten cards. Available on the Topps website for one week from June 17-24, it’s another in a growing list of print-on-demand products. The print run will match the number of sets ordered. The original cost was $19.99.
The design is rooted in 1980 Topps Empire Strikes Back, the film that really ramped up the father issues that drove much of the original’s plot and a lot of what followed. The checklist doesn’t limit itself to just dads, though. Uncles and other guardians are also in the set. Alongside them is the family member or creature they helped raise or protect.
This is the second year in a row for a I Am Your Father’s Day set. Although the design of the 2020 set is different, the familial pairings are virtually all the same.
