2021 Topps National Baseball Card Day Checklist and Details
2021 Topps National Baseball Card Day takes place on Saturday, August 7. That means an exclusive set of cards, free packs and an excuse (not that you need one) to visit the card shop.
Those who go to a participating store (a shop list is posted on Topps’ website) will receive a free pack of five cards. Inside is a special promo set. Every MLB team is represented on the 30-card checklist. Understandably, it’s all stars with names like Fernando Tatis Jr., Mike Trout, Ronald Acuna Jr. and Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
While the main set has 30 cards, the final 2021 Topps National Baseball Card Day tally has 32. The cards in packs are free. However, this is a promotion that’s meant to support card shops. As such, there are two additional cards available with a qualifying purchase. On August 7, there’s a second Tatis Jr. card. Collectors returning to the shop on August 14 will have the opportunity to get an Alec Bohm.

Stadium Giveaways
National Baseball Card Day is more than just one day at the card shop. The broader promotion expands into MLB ballparks. Between July 25 ad August 15, almost every team offered a baseball card giveaway.
The Toronto Blue Jays, who just returned to play in Canada, and New York Yankees are the only teams not to have stadium giveaways.
The cards handed out at ballparks are different. They’re team-focused with most teams having five cards. Instead of the traditional stock used for the main store-giveaway cards, 2021 Topps National Baseball Card Day stadium giveaway cards have foil stock.

These may prove to be rather difficult to find as it appears that teams gave out just one card per person instead of full team sets.
Condition could be a further challenge as many in attendance likely didn’t bring supplies with them to the ballpark to protect the loose card.
