2021-22 Upper Deck Ovation Hockey marks the brand’s return as a standalone release for the first time since 2009-10. This time, though, it comes with an e-Pack twist. Available exclusively through Upper Deck’s online pack platform, all cards have physical counterparts.

Hobby boxes deliver one autograph plus several inserts and parallels.

2021-22 Upper Deck Ovation Hockey Checklist Overview

Ovation arrives with a 150-card base set. Veterans, which make up the first 100 spots, are four per pack. Fifty rookies, which are two per pack, round things out.

Parallels come in several levels starting with Gold Foil, which are one per pack. Others include Standing Ovation (/500), Standing Ovation Gold Spectrum (/250), Standing Ovation Red (/100), Printing Plates (1/1) and Standing Ovation Black (1/1).

Autographs and Other Inserts

2021-22 Upper Deck Ovation Hockey has ink available in a couple of other places as well.

Standing Ovation Signatures are numbered to varying amounts.

Praised Rookie Penmanship are 1:72 packs. Non-rookie Praised Penmanship cards are a little tougher at 1:108 packs. Both levels have Gold parallels numbered to 25.

Lauded Signatures are also 1:108 packs. Gold versions of these have just 15 copies each.

As far as other inserts go, collectors can expect to find one UD Glass card per box. These are done on plexiglass. Standard UD Glass Rookies and UD Glass Stars cards are numbered to 349. Gold (/99), Red (/25) and Black (1/1) versions are also available.

Keeping with the UD Glass theme are Magnifying Marks (1:216 packs). Parallels come in numbered Gold, Red (/10) and Black (1/1).

World Premiere (1:4 packs) is one of the insert sets from Ovation’s past that makes a comeback. The parallel lineup for these is deep with Gold (/299), Red (/199), Blue (/99), Purple (/65), Pink (/49), Green (/49), Aqua (/10) and Black (1/1).

Superstar Theater (1:288 packs) and Lead Performers (1:15 packs) are other returning inserts. Select Lead Performers also have autographs (1:360 packs).

High Regard Rookies (1:20 packs) are another place to find first-year players on the 2021-22 Ovation Hockey checklist. Autograph parallels are tough at 1:288 packs.

Other inserts include Captivating (1:20 packs) Big Hand (1:144 packs), Bravo! (1:144 packs) and Round of Applause (1:288 packs).
