In case great photos weren’t enough, 2020 Topps Stadium Club Chrome Baseball is adding “shiny” to the mix. Going far beyond the similar inserts in the main 2020 Stadium Club set, this standalone release also acts as an update set adding additional players.
2020 Topps Stadium Club Chrome Baseball Base Set Basics
With 400 cards, Stadium Club Chrome is bigger than the regular release. It adds an additional 100 cards including current players and retired stars. Of course, there’s a big difference in the presentation, shifting from regular glossy card stock to chromium.
For players with Chrome inserts in 2020 Stadium Club, cards use different images.
Parallels come in the form of Refractors. Besides the regular versions with the reflective rainbow backgrounds, there are Gold Refractors (/50), hobby-only Orange Refractors (/25), Red Refractors (/5) and Superfractors (1/1).
Autographs and Inserts
On-card signatures are the focus for the autographs in Stadium Club Chrome.
Base Autographs make up the majority of these. The design is essentially the same as the main set. Additional versions can be found in the form of Gold Refractors (/50), Orange Refractors (/25), Red Refractors (/5) and Superfractors (1/1).
Lone Star Signatures get a chromium makeover. These have no more than 25 copies each as well as additional Red Refractor (/5) and Superfractor (1/1) parallels.
Three additional insert themes line the checklist: Beam Team (25 cards, 1:4 packs), Emperors of the Zone (25 cards, 1:14 packs) and Power Zone (25 cards, 1:14 packs). All of these also have Gold Refractors (/50), Orange Refractors (/25), Red Refractors (/5) and Superfractors (1/1).
Select Beam Team and Power Zone cards also have autograph versions. Hard-signed, Beam Team Autographs are numbered to 25 and under. Power Zone Autographs print runs don’t top ten copies. Red Refractors (/5) and Superfractors (1/1) are available for these as well.
