2020-21 Topps Chrome UEFA Champions League Checklist, Team Set Lists and Details
On the surface, not a lot has changed in 2020-21 Topps Chrome UEFA Champions League Soccer when you compare it to the previous year’s installment. It’s still colorful. Autographs are still one per hobby box. But as the world of soccer cards mature, there are signs of change as well. They might not be game-changing or even that big of a deal to many, but it does bring a sense of evolution.
2020-21 Topps Chrome UEFA Champions League Checklist Overview
The base set has 100 cards highlighting top players and young standouts. Like everything in the product, it’s done on chromium stock that gives cards a definite shine.
One of the notable changes in the product is found in the base set. For the first time in a UEFA set, a rookie logo is on the front of players making their league debuts. This brings things more in line with what’s found in Topps’ other sports products as well as Panini’s recent soccer offerings. This might not necessarily mean that these players don’t have earlier cards elsewhere, though. But it does note that it’s a UEFA rookie. Think of it as a starting point to make it easier to keep tabs on first appearances (you can also search the Beckett database to see what’s out there — just type their name in the search bar at the top of the page).
Select cards also have Image Variations. These are short prints that carry the same base Refractor design but have a different photo on the front. Variations also have their own one-of-one Superfractors.

All base cards have a rainbow of parallel versions to chase as well. Several new colors have been added this year as well.

Autographs and Inserts
Chrome Autographs look pretty much the same as the base set with the addition of a sticker for the signature and an authenticity notice. Nearly 70 signers are on the checklist. Jude Bellingham and Giovanni are among the headliners.

Regular Red Refractors and Superfractors are both exclusive to hobby packs.
With so many Refractors, there isn’t a need for 2020-21 Topps Chrome UEFA Champions League Soccer to have a massive lineup of additional inserts to round out its checklist. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t any at all. Collectors can find three additional sets.
Joga Bonito, which roughly translates from Portuguese to “the beautiful game” or “play pretty”, has some of the boldest designs in the product. Base versions land 1:18 packs or about one per hobby box.
Top scorers are featured in Golazo (1:12 packs) while young players make up the Future Stars (1:6 packs) checklist.
All three insert sets have a handful of Refractors: Aqua (/199), Gold (/50), Orange (/25), Red (/10) and Superfractor (1/1). Some also have autographs.

Hello. So I’m going thru a bunch of these cards and I’ve noticed that the colored refractors have dotted diagonal lines going thru the colored part of the card, and they are numbered. But I also have green and blue colored cards that instead of having the dotted diagonal lines thru the coloring, it has small circles or bubbles, I don’t see these mentioned in your article. What are these?

No Haaland base?
@Dylan There is. #49 is a Haaland base.
Retail seems to only have stocked for a week. Any other info on retail?
There are a lot of RC’s per Hobby box; I think that I counted 30. Good value, and you can feel safe opening the Flagship Chrome brand. Colors and inserts make this a real good product to open. Would have liked more than one auto per box, but that is the industry standard.
There were a couple of cards with surface scratches, but that was it. Overall satisfied with the quality control.
I found a card with no image on the front. Is it worth anything?
