2019 Upper Deck Spider-Man: Far from Home trading cards take the teenage superhero across the Atlantic for an international adventure. The set brings with it a lot of similar elements as Upper Deck’s other recent Marvel Cinematic Universe sets. Yes, that means autographs. But there are several other inserts as well, both common and on the rare side.
Overall, hobby boxes deliver a pair of premium inserts. These draw from signatures, sketch cards and a couple of other technology-based themes.
Actor Autographs are a key part of the release, highlighting the sequel’s stars. A list of signers has not yet been released.
Obsidian Diamond inserts are one of the premium chase sets. These have manufactured diamonds embedded into the cards, similar to what Upper Deck has done with some of their sports card sets. Autograph versions are also randomly inserted.
Mysterio Plexiglass and Road Trip are the other premium inserts in the release. Adding to the set-building challenge are short print and SSP cards that are available in smaller quantities.
Not all of the inserts in 2019 Upper Deck Spider-Man: Far from Home are on the tough side. Every pack comes with one of a handful of more common sets. Behind the Lens offers a look at the other side of the camera. Travel Passports has a character-driven checklist spotlighting Peter Parker and his classmates as they travel to England. Primary Elements focuses on the various villains in Far from Home. Finally, there’s Greetings From Abroad, a series of cards that resemble postcards with notes from Peter to Aunt May back home.
Stay tuned for more details on the Spider-Man: Far from Home trading cards as they become available. The full checklist will also be added once it’s released.
