2019 Topps Pro Debut Baseball Image Variations Guide and How to Spot Them

Share:

It’s not just a base set design that 2019 Topps Pro Debut shares with its flagship MLB counterpart. The minor league release has some SSP cards as well. The 2019 Topps Pro Debut Baseball Image Variations cover 15 of the game’s top prospects and young players.

Falling 1:125 packs, these aren’t the hardest SSP cards to pull. However, with a smaller print run than the main 2019 Topps Baseball set, there aren’t a massive amount of the cards out there.

The concept behind the 2019 Topps Pro Debut variations is a simple one. You get a card that looks virtually identical to other regular base cards except for the photo. Of course, there’s the tougher odds to go with it.

Each SSP variation also has a one-of-one Black parallel. These land 1:23,792 packs.

Not all of these photo variants jump out and stick with you. But there’s another easy way to confirm if you’ve got a 2019 Topps Pro Debut Baseball Image Variation.

Confirming Variations with the Codes on the Back

Like a lot of Topps sets that have variations, the code in the fine print on the back is different for regular base cards and variations.

When it comes to hunting for SSP variations, these are the two code endings that matter:

  • Base – 141
  • Variation – 165
