2019 Topps On-Demand Star Wars: The Phantom Menace 20th Anniversary Checklist and Details
Yes, it has been two decades since the boy they called Annie introduced us to pod racing. The Star Wars prequels may not be held in the highest regard today, but they’re still a big part of the one of the biggest franchises of all-time. 2019 Topps On-Demand Star Wars: The Phantom Menace 20th Anniversary trading cards highlight some of the key characters to come from the movie. The mini set also has a handful of big-name autographs.
Its release coincided with the star of Star Wars Celebration in Chicago. Topps made it available at the show as well as online. In both instances, it was a near-instant sell out.
Each premium set comes with 27 total cards. The first 25 are a base set consisting entirely of characters from the prequel. Anakin, Obi-Wan, Padme and Darth Maul are there. So is Jar Jar Binks.
Each set also has one parallel from a list of Gray, Blue (/10), Purple (/5) and Gold (1/1).
The final guaranteed card is an autograph. There are 14 signers total, headlined by Samuel L. Jackson (Mace Windu), Kenny Baker (R2-D2), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO) and Ray Park (Darth Maul). Autographs have the same parallel levels as the base set.
Dual Autographs are also randomly inserted. Four different combinations are available, all numbered to 5.
Every other set has a Jedi Council insert as well.
