2019 Panini Majestic Football Gets Later Release Date, Features Rookies in NFL Threads

After a couple of years early in the football card release year, 2019 Panini Majestic Football takes a bit of a step back. It’s still very much a high-end release, but the later release date means rookies are in their NFL threads. Eight-card hobby boxes come with four autographs and a pair of memorabilia cards. Spread across packs, it averages out to a pair of autographs and one relic per pack plus one base card or parallel.

2019 Panini Majestic Football Base Set Basics

One of the distinct features of Majestic is its look. Base cards (/75) start with color images on holo-silver foil stock. On top of that is a matte finish.

Parallels include Gold (/50), Holo Silver (/25), Holo Gold (/5) and Platinum (1/1).

Majestic Rookie Signatures are also part of the main set’s checklist. These max out at 199 copies with parallels in the form of Gold (/99 or less), Holo Silver (/25), Holo Gold (/10) and Platinum (1/1).

Autographs

As one might expect from a product that has a pair of autographs per pack, signatures come in several forms in 2019 Majestic Football.

Rookie Scripted Swatches not only have pictures of first-year players in their pro uniforms, but the swatches — which are over-sized — match as well. Base versions have no more than 199 copies with Gold (/49 or less), Holo Silver (/10), Holo Gold (/5) and Platinum (1/1) parallels.

Capstones (/99 or less), which were last seen in football in 2017 Panini Vertex, make the jump over to Majestic. These have four swatches plus an on-card signature. Rarer versions come in the form of Gold (/49 or less) Holo Silver (/10 or less), Holo Gold (/5 or less) and Platinum (1/1).

Royal Signatures (/99 or less) include autographs from both active veterans and retired greats.

On the scarce side is Highly Revered, all of which have no more than ten copies each. Parallels for these autograph inserts, which highlight top players only, are in Gold (/2) and Platinum (1/1).

Mystic Marks come with a similar low-numbered production run of ten or less with only a handful of Gold (/5 or less) and Platinum (1/1) parallels.

Ring Bearers Dual Signatures (/5) come with autographs from two Super Bowl-winning teammates. These also have Gold (/3) and Platinum (1/1) versions.

Other autograph inserts 2019 Majestic Football include Imposting Signatures, Magnificent Signatures and Marvelous Signatures. Hall of Fame Descent, Super Bowl Teammate Dual, Team Signs Dual, and Team Signs Triple Signatures are all additional multi-signature inserts.

Memorabilia Cards

Majestic Rookie Materials (/49 or less) is another place to find first-year player memorabilia on the checklist. These don’t have signatures but they do come with bigger-than-usual swatches.

Additional memorabilia inserts in the product are Astonishing Arms, Distinguished Defenders, Exalted Triple Materials, Icons Materials, Show Stoppers Materials, and Unsung Warriors Materials.
