2018 Yu-Gi-Oh! UK World Championship Qualifier – Beckett Pricing Insider
Attention Duelists! Two weeks ago the UKWCQ was held. It shed light on a very interesting new deck in the current format, Burning Abyss Cat.
Today I am going to recap the tournament and what the key components were that led this new deck to victory.
Here is a snapshot of the top 32:

As you can see, Sky Striker/Sky Striker variants took over 50 percent of the spots. However, against all odds, a very innovative Burning Abyss deck managed to take the tournament by storm.
Using a combination of Rescue Cat, Gallis the Star Beast, and Naturia Beast, Thomas Rose managed to beat out the onslaught of Sky Striker Decks. Having access to an easy Naturia Beast gave Rose a very powerful advantage over the Sky Striker deck, as their main engine consists of numerous spell cards. The beast can negate all of them for a simple cost of milling two cards from your deck.
With the arrival of a deck specifically designed to take down Sky Strikers, it will be very interesting to see how duelists piloting Sky Strikers will change up their decks to prepare for Naturia Beast.
Tune back in next weekend for the recap of the North American WCQ.
