2018 Panini National Treasures Football Brings the Autographs and Patches You Expect

2018 Panini National Treasures Football has its tweaks, but it largely sticks with the themes and types of cards that have been used before. And there’s a likely reason why.

National Treasures continues to be one of the biggest brands in the hobby. Collectors have come to know what to expect and that’s, for the most part, ultra-premium autographs and memorabilia cards.

It’s a go-to release for Rookie Cards when collectors are looking for something they deem the best. National Treasures found its voice years ago and it’s stuck with it, even as the hobby around evolves.

2018 Panini National Treasures Football has eight cards per box, six of which are hits.

2018 Panini National Treasures Football Base Set Basics

Even with all of the autographs and memorabilia, it all starts with the 100-card base set. These come numbered to 99 and land approximately one per box.

Parallels, which combine to fall one per box, come in Jersey Number Red (/99 or less), Purple (/75), Gold (/49), Holo Silver (/25), Gold (/10), Emerald (/5), and Platinum (1/1).

Joining the checklist are Rookie Patch Autographs. These Rookie Cards also have 99 copies each and are highlighted by over-sized swatches and on-card signatures. RPA cards have Green Jersey Number (/99 or less), Holo Silver (/25), Midnight (/20), Holo Gold (/10), Black (/5), Red (1/1), Red Brand Logo (1/1), Red Laundry Tag (1/1), and Platinum NFL Shield (1/1) versions.

Autographs and Memorabilia

Colossal Signatures return for another year. These include on-card autographs and jumbo memorabilia pieces. Base versions have no more than 49 copies each with parallels dropping to Prime (/25 or less), Brand Logo (/2), Laundry Tag (1/1) and NFL Shield (1/1).

Rookie Material Signatures (/99 or less) have more on-card autographs from first-year players as well as large relic pieces. On top of the regular versions are a handful of parallels: Numbers Green (/99 or less), Holo Silver (/25 or less), Holo Gold (/10 or less), Black (/5 or less), Brand Logo Red (/2), Blue (1/1), Laundry Tag (1/1), and NFL Shield Red (1/1).

Book cards are available in a couple of forms. Rookie Jumbo Prime Signatures Booklets (/99 or less) are one of them, offering premium swatches and autographs in the fold-out format. Rare parallels are Nameplate (/10 or less), Laundry Tag (/5), Brand Logo (/2), and NFL Shield (1/1).

Treasure Chest Signatures (/5) open up with a dozen autographs. One-of-one Platinum versions are also on the checklist.

The Future (/25) is autographs-only. The 20-card checklist consists exclusively of rookies.

Cut autographs are also available, albeit in small numbers.

Other Inserts

One of the most notable of the aforementioned tweaks is a new set of regular inserts, Top 100 Collection. These offer up 100 of the NFL’s best. Autograph versions have ten copies or less.
