2018-19 Topps Chrome UEFA Champions League Variations Guide

Share:

The list of 2018-19 Topps Chrome UEFA Champions League Variations isn’t a long one, but there are a handful of the short print cards to be watching for.

Five top stars from the set have short print Refractors that come with alternate a different image on the front. Otherwise, they look like the regular base Refractors. These five players have regular Refractors for their base cards. These variations are an addition card on top of them.

Using Card Backs to Confirm

While the image on the front is where you’re going to notice a variation first, there’s an easy way to confirm them in case you’re unsure. Flip the card over and look to the block of fine print on the back. At the end, there’s a long code. That code is different for base cards (regular Refractors are the same) and variations:

  • Base Cards/Refractors – 203
  • Variations – looks like it’s 223 (may be 222)

So if you have a Refractor that has the variation code, it’s one of the short prints. Sometimes this can be easier than memorizing a group of images.
