2018-19 Panini Spectra Basketball Opts for High-End Color

2018-19 Panini Spectra Basketball cards take chromium to the premium end. While Prizm and Optic are centered more on base rainbows, Spectra brings it to a configuration that’s primarily autographs and memorabilia. Each eight-card box comes with five hits.

2018-19 Panini Spectra Basketball Overview

Rookie Jersey Autographs feature on-card signatures. Parallels, some of which include premium swatches, take a rainbow approach with many colors. These include Neon Blue (/99), Neon Green (/49), Neon Pink (/25), Gold (/10), Neon Orange (/5) and one-of-one Nebula.

More on-card ink can be found in In the Zone Autographs and Illustrious Legends Signatures.

Rising Stars Signatures offer additional autographs from the NBA’s young stars.

As for memorabilia inserts, Next Era is one of the returning sets.

The chase in 2018-19 Panini Spectra Basketball isn’t just hits. New short print Headliners inserts bring back the floating head seen over the decades on cards and applies it to a more fun modern approach.

Despite all the signatures and relics, Spectra does have a main base set as well. These get the full chromium treatment, complete with a handful of parallels: Silver, White Sparkle, Neon Blue (/99), Red (/75), Neon Green (/49), Neon Pink (/25), Gold (/10), Neon Orange (/5) and Nebula (1/1).
