The 2018-19 O-Pee-Chee Hockey wrapper redemption brings with it more exclusive Red parallels. This time around, Upper Deck is adding something a little different to the mix — Red Blank Backs.

The addition takes one of the long-standing “surprise” themes from O-Pee-Chee Hockey. Upper Deck has included scarce Blank Backs for years. And while they don’t normally announce them ahead of time, or acknowledge their print runs, Blank Backs have been in the product for years.

The 2018-19 O-Pee-Chee Hockey wrapper redemption is open only to Canadian collectors. This has been a constant for the program since its inception. It also requires participants to visit approved hobby shops to submit their wrappers and pick up their wrapper redemption packs.

To get one of the wrapper redemption packs, you need to start with 50 empty hobby packs.

Collectors must take those wrappers to a participating shop that’s part of Upper Deck’s Certified Diamond Dealer network. That shop then makes the redemption pack request and sends in the wrappers.

When the exclusive pack arrives, the shop contacts the collector so they can come pick it up. The redemption packs are not mailed to the collector directly.

What’s in the 2018-19 O-Pee-Chee Hockey Wrapper Redemption packs?

Wrapper redemption packs have six total cards. Five of those are Red parallels covering the entire 600-card 2018-19 O-Pee-Chee base set.

So putting together a Red set or finding specific cards is going to be somewhat of a challenge.

The final card is a Red Blank Back card. These are also a full parallel set so there are 600 different in the set.

Upper Deck has additional details posted on their website.
