2017 Panini Diamond Kings Variations Gallery
The 2017 Panini Diamond Kings variations aren’t complex. They’re not particularly rare either. But they’re out there, adding 24 additional cards to the set’s checklist.
For the most part, they’re not tough to spot. However, there are a couple of exceptions where you need to look close or even take a look at the text on the back.
No theme runs through the 2017 Panini Diamond Kings variations other than alternate photos. Many have similar poses but different colored jerseys and uniforms. A few only have a subtle change in position or bat placement.
And then there’s Dansby Swanson. Not on the original list of variations released by Panini, he has two different cards that can be differentiated by the text on the back of the card. The front is the same.
The 2017 Panini Diamond Kings variations checklist follows the overall theme of the main set, putting similar emphasis on veterans, rookies and retired stars.
Fairly common in 2017 Panini Diamond Kings Baseball packs, variations don’t command huge values. It’s more of a chase addition to the product. Variations also have a full run of parallels, just like the base cards, many of which are framed.
