2016 Topps Chrome Update Baseball marks the fourth year in a row that the small expansion set of sorts has been an exclusive to special Holiday Mega Boxes. And to get them, you’re going to have to plan a trip to Target.

2016 Topps Chrome Update Header

Each Target Holiday Mega Boxes comes with a pair 2016 Topps Chrome Update packs that aren’t available anywhere else. They also have five packs of 2016 Topps Update Series Baseball.

As with past years, the main 2016 Topps Chrome Update Baseball isn’t very big. It has just 50 cards. Backgrounds on the base cards have a speckled background, similar to how they were done in 2015. Parallels are available in Refractors (/250), X-Fractors (/99), Gold Refractors (/50) and Superfractors (1/1).

The insert lineup is kept relatively simple. All-Star Stitches Chrome Relics put a shiny spin on the memorabilia cards from Update Series. The basic relic checklist features 24 players. Ten autographed versions are also randomly inserted.

The only other inserts included in 2016 Topps Chrome Update Baseball fall under the 3,000 Hits Club banner. These 20 cards are another carryover from the regular Update Series, although this time they have the same patterned background as the base Chrome Update cards.

I can hardly wait until these start arriving in store. I have been putting the set together since they started doing these 4 years ago and look forward to it each year.

Luis Severino hmt44 is listed as 133/250 my card reads 033/250 any information on this would be helpful thanks!

Not sure what you’re referring to exactly. If it’s numbered to 250, it sounds like two separate copies of the same card — in this instance a Refractor parallel.

I received a Kyle schwarber that is numbered to 150. I don’t see any parallel mentioned that is numbered to 150. Thoughts?

Was it one of the Chrome Update cards or from regular Chrome? Would need to know the card number.
