2016 SAGE Hit Low Series Football Card Details

2016 SAGE Hit Low Series Football is an autograph-heavy product aimed at collectors more concerned with signatures than logos. Not licensed, it features players eligible for the 2016 NFL Draft.
Eighteen-pack hobby boxes have a total of ten autographs.
The 2016 SAGE Hit Low Series Football base set has 75 cards. Among them are Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott, Notre Dame’s Will Fuller and Pharoh Cooper from the South Carolina Gamecocks.
The product has three basic inserts. Artistry and Write Stuff (1:9 packs) both return. New to 2016 SAGE Hit Low Series Football is Premium Players (1:3), which use foil stamping.
On the autograph side of things, there’s a similar mix of cards. Gold Level Autographs are numbered to 250. Each of the three basic insert sets also have signed versions: Artistry (/100), Write Stuff (/25) and Premium Players (/10).
In the past, SAGE has had a company policy of putting everything in packs and not using redemptions. This continues with 2016 SAGE Hit Low Series Football.

Sage is a company created by collectors Robert Sadlak and Tom Geideman, two long time friends and card lovers. Their story is an amazing one. When you call Sage , you can talk to Tom or Robert. They are always ready to share their time with you. This small company is an example of the American Dream for trading card lovers…..two guys creating their own cards. Compare this small operation to the monopoly controlling multiple major sports in Panini… and one can see why Sage can be appealing to collectors- like me!
I agree 100 percent … I’ve had a couple of customer service issues over the years and they have personally handled them, going above and beyond the call of duty to make them right. Plus, the card stock (at least last year’s retail) on the base cards was like actual cardboard from the old days, great for autographs!
Judging from SAGEs headliners this years draft looks like a bunch of bums compared to last seasons.Gonna be a low year for football
The experience that I had with Sage was not very positive. I purchased a blaster box of 2015 football which guaranteed 4 autographs per box. I only received 3 autographs and one of them was damaged. They don’t have an email address and so I wrote them a letter and enclosed the UPC from the box. I never heard or received anything from them. Maybe I should have called instead.
Like the company but the cards just look awful. Wish they can get college action shots instead of photo shots of players in gym attire. LEAF is also a great company run by Brain Gray which is also a collector. Happy to see other collectors are getting sick of Topps and Panini garbage.
Atleast Leaf and Sage are run by collectors and not CEO wallstreets and are listening to their customers and giving back value instead of making the next $1000 a pack product which you can get the same player auto from a $10 a pack product.

These are great guys. I told them that I, as a teacher, gave away football cards to my students who got their homework in on time, and good grades on their papers. He promptly send me 35 unopened packs of trading cards!! So impressed with these guys… they always have an open ear on how to improve their products….

I have been buying Sage since 2009, always enjoy the cards, especially the Autos. The New Premium Portraits? I have gotten them in both Silver and Gold Borders and printing! Is there a difference? This year does seem to be a poor year for top Draft Picks in the Low series. Could Some one send me an explanation for the Silver and Gold Premium Portraits in the low series packs.
