2016 Panini Torque Racing Card Details

2016 Panini Torque Racing might be a new brand for the card maker as they roll out the first year of their NASCAR line, but it has some familiar elements for those who collect other sports. The checklist is heavy on inserts including one autograph or memorabilia card per pack.

2016 Panini Torque Racing Jumbo Tire Signatures

Every autograph in 2016 Panini Torque Racing is done on-card. Among them is the expansion of Silhouettes Signatures. These layered autographed memorabilia cards have a swatch acting as a backdrop to the rest of the card and signatures. They’ve been done for several sports over the years and even into the entertainment realm. For 2016 Panini Torque Racing, they come in a couple of forms, Silhouette Firesuit Signatures come with gear worn by racers. Silhouette Sheet Metal Signatures have pieces of race cars embedded in them. Both have base versions numbered to 499 or less. Blue, Red, Green and Purple parallels are all numbered to 99 or less.

Jumbo Patch Signatures and Jumbo Tire Signatures keep with the trend of using a variety of memorabilia. This is something Press Pass did a lot of when they held the NASCAR license.

Combo Materials Signatures have two swatches of gear to go with the autograph. Pairings Materials also have two memorabilia pieces, albeit from two teammates.

The acetate Clear Vision line also ports over to 2016 Panini Torque Racing. Championship Vision, Superstar Vision and Winning Vision are all among the product’s offerings. These combine to land one per pack.

Basic inserts combine to land two per pack. Race Kings is another familiar name from Panini’s portfolio to get a racing spin. Like the Diamond Kings that they’re based on, cards have a painted look about them. Other inserts include Nicknames, Painted to Perfection and Pole Position.

In addition to hobby boxes, 2016 Panini Torque NASCAR racing has blaster boxes. Each has one pack and includes one autograph or memorabilia card.

Well, that’s disappointing. It looks like they are not doing a basic set akin to Hoops or Score, and are falling into the same trap that killed Fleer and Press Pass by doing high-end only.

I am anxious to see if they have kyle sign rowdy for an autograph card. Hopefully they will and hopefully there will be 100 of them so i have a chance. I would really love to see them to do a dual auto with kyle and michael rooker both signing names and rowdy.

Billy, I understand what you want but I can not see in this day and age a base set ever selling. Most people can not give their base cards away.

james they have already had event worn items in racing Drivers shirts [polos] ball caps as long as they are honest about its thats fine. I know they have been having race used things picked up for them also.

If there is no base set, what are the other 25 cards to expect from a hobby box?
