2016 Panini Kickoff Football is an incentive of sorts for dealers and collectors for ordering boxes of select NFL products. The promo set is structured similarly to the company’s other promo sets with lots of variety, including some unique pieces of memorabilia.

The 2016 Panini Kickoff Football base set has 40 cards covering the NFL’s current superstars. Rookies get their own subset with a slightly different design. Rookies also come numbered to 699 copies.

Memorabilia cards come in a variety of forms including dated game-used pieces, Breast Cancer Awareness cards with player-worn gear, and rookie memorabilia. The 2016 Pro Bowl is represented with cards featuring pylons and footballs used in the game.

2016 Panini Kickoff Football packs are being offered as incentives to dealers for ordering 2016 Panini Phoenix Football and 2016 Panini Prizm Football. For every hobby box they order, dealers also get a pair of Kickoff packs that will be delivered when the qualifying product releases. The idea is that the packs will be passed on to collectors who buy the boxes. The format is similar to Upper Deck’s Overtime Hockey packs, although, at this point, it’s not line-wide.
