2016 Leaf Metal Tennis Cards Checklist and Details

2016 Leaf Metal Tennis marks the first time the sport has had a full chromium release. Granted, like golf, it doesn’t get several major releases each year so there might not be as much variety in card styles. Like Leaf’s previous tennis releases since acquiring Ace Authentic, the checklist is all autographs.

Among the signers? Serena Williams. This is the first time she has appeared in a Leaf product.

Base Autographs follow suit with other Leaf Metal product, highlighted by a full rainbow of color-based parallels. Each has eight levels of parallels, all of which are numbered. This applies to the inserts as well.

These inserts come in a couple of forms. First is National Pride, a Leaf staple that highlights where athletes were born. Unique to tennis is Fastest Serve, which highlights some of the game’s most powerful players.

Besides Williams, the 2016 Leaf Metal Tennis checklist also includes autographs from Roger Federer, Andy Murray, Martina Navratilova, Martina Hingis, Jimmy Connors and more.

Is she really in this Leaf product, or is she in this Leaf product like she was in Leaf Ultimate. Which is until the product actually packs out and turns out she’s not.

She’s on the checklist, complete with print runs (albeit in very limited numbers). And the image they used on the sell sheet appears to be the actual card and not a mock-up.
