2016 Leaf Best of Hockey to combine premium buybacks with Jack Eichel autographs
By Stephen Laroche | Beckett Hockey Editor
2016 Leaf Best of Hockey takes the brand to a new level with the inclusion of cards of Buffalo Sabres rookie Jack Eichel.
Back in August, Leaf Trading Cards caused shock waves within the hobby by signing the second overall pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft to an exclusive autographed trading card deal and each pack of 2016 Leaf Best of Hockey is set to include either a limited base or autograph card of the first-year phenom. Each sealed four-box case features two autographed Eichel cards.
The other card inside of the two-card pack is a premium buyback that the company has tracked down on the secondary market. Buyback cards could include rookie issues, certified autographs, and visually striking memorabilia cards. Additionally, there are redemption cards for high-end sealed boxes.
It should also be noted that 2016 Leaf Best of Hockey has been revamped slightly and has a lower price point than the 2015 edition.
