Panini America is taking the stage at the Royal Hawaiian for their 2016 Industry Summit presentation. We’ll be live tweeting throughout.

Mark Warsop:

Year-over-year growth of basketball cards last year by 24 percent.

If you didn’t see growth of 24 percent in your business that means someone else was seeing significantly more.

We’re going to put together a program where we quarterly invite dealers and distributors to attend meeting to improve promotions and product. We’ll rotate those for new ideas.

We’ve got a big year ahead of us with the NFL exclusive.

Panini has been involved with soccer for 60 years. Dates back to 1961 and has done global soccer products ever since.

FIFA Flawless will be the highest soccer product to date. Includes on-card autographs. UEFA Prizm also coming.

Increase focus on entertainment properties. New game coming out later this year that will probably be seen at San Diego Comic-Con.

NASCAR is confirmed.

How do we get more people into the market?

160,000 collectors participated in NFL Player of the Day program in 2015 from 600 shops. Chicagoland Sports won grand prize.

Trent Dilfer did more than 50 interviews to talk about trading cards this season.

Video highlights of commercials and Super Bowl Kid Reporter.

More than 46,000,000 kids saw TV spots on Disney XD, Nickelodeon and other channels.

275,000 redemptions processed in 2015. 5,200 Rewards orders shipped.

Panini Roundtable update. All Roundtable stores requalifying in 2016.

Hobby Shop of the Month will get a pizza party, prizes and article on blog. Other things could include autographs, product.

Hobby Shop of the Quarter get a neon sign, window cling, article on blog and other stuff.

Hobby Shop of the Year to receive an athlete appearance. Monthly and quarterly winners qualify.

Knights of the Roundtable – quarterly phone call with ten selected hobby shops with sales and product development team. Part of call will be insider info on future products.

Live autograph rates are all up in 2015 over 2014.

New brand: Donruss Optic — Optichrome version of Donruss for football, basketball and baseball.
