Cards among items in 2016 IDW Empire Strikes Back Micro Comic Collector Packs

The focus of the 2016 IDW Empire Strikes Back Micro Comic Collector Packs might be on graphic adaptations of the second Star Wars film, but there are some cards collectors may want to take note of.

Like the first collection, building a full set of comics and other items is easy — all that is except for the trading cards.

Each of the 2016 IDW Empire Strikes Back Micro Comic Collector Packs comes with a handful of items. Leading them is one of six comics. These are shrunken down versions of the Marvel Empire Strikes Back adaptations that ran from issues 39 to 44 in the original Marvel Star Wars comics. The book is joined by a 3-D poster of one of the six covers, a pair of red and blue 3-D glasses and one trading card.

A total of 36 cards are in the set, making it difficult to put a set together. Card fronts have comic art while backs act as a puzzle piece.

2016 IDW Empire Strikes Back Micro Comic Collector Packs are scheduled to release in February. They’re aimed at both retail and hobby shops.
